Peace and Security Bridges

“Building bridges where walls have stood too long.”

A non-profit bringing communities, governments and civil society into dialogue for peace, security and humanitarian access across Africa’s conflict-affected regions.

We Bring People Together

Peace and Security Bridges is dedicated to humanitarian response operations and sustainable peacebuilding. We work with communities, governments and civil society to transform conflict environments into spaces of stability, hope and shared humanity.

Our work promotes peace, security, humanitarian access, and sustainable coexistence in high-risk and conflict-affected regions of Africa, through dialogue, humanitarian response and emergency support.

Where dialogue has broken down and communities are divided, we help rebuild the connections that allow people to live together in safety and dignity.

When Markets Become Targets, Everyone Loses

Drone strikes killed at least 306 people in Sudan in three weeks. When homes, markets and hospitals become strike locations, civilian protection is the first test of any claim to legitimacy in war.

How a PSB Consultation Works

A consultation is a structured conversation held in writing, open for a limited time, around one question that matters to the communities concerned.

1

A Defined Question Opens

A consultation begins when a defined question is opened for a time-bound round, so every participant knows exactly what the conversation is about and how long it will run.

2

Contributions in Writing, From Anywhere

Participants contribute in writing, in English or French, from wherever they are. The format is text-based and asynchronous, and stays light enough for low-bandwidth settings.

3

Shared Findings and Next Steps

When the round closes, contributions are synthesised into shared findings and next steps that communities and partners can act on together.

Built for the Places Where Peace Is Made

Our consultations are designed for the realities of conflict-affected regions: distance, fragile connections, two working languages, and the need to speak safely.

Consultations in Dialogue

Peace and Security Bridges runs dialogue consultations under its Peace Dialogues program, bringing communities in conflict, and the people who work alongside them, into one protected conversation.

Consultation rounds are announced here and on our LinkedIn page as they are opened. If your community or organisation faces a question that a structured dialogue could help answer, we invite you to propose it.

Our Programs

Seven areas of work, one purpose: helping communities move from conflict toward stability, hope and shared humanity.

Rooted in the Great Lakes, Working Across Africa

Our work covers Eastern DRC, Sudan, South Sudan and the Africa Great Lakes region, and reaches conflict-affected regions across the continent.
